The Indian Association Hannover (IASH) conducted an online musical evening, as part of the music month and India@75 celebrations on 26th June 2021. About 15 participants attended this event. Apart from IASH members, Mr. Manish from the Consulate General of India, Hamburg were present on this occasion.
The event was anchored by Dr. Partha Dabke, the President of IASH, who also gave a short welcome to everyone present. This was followed by a wonderful address by Mr. John Ruolngul, the Consul General of India in Hamburg. He spoke about the various aspects of music and its importance in our lives. Mr. Manish, the Assistant Consular officer, CGI Hamburg also addressed the participants and presented some interesting facts about the history of music.
The musical evening consisted of both vocal and instrumental performances. The audience was able to listen to a variety of genre of music including classical and Bollywood film music. Performers from not only different parts of Germany, but also from India contributed to this event.
The musical evening event, which was conducted as a part of the India@75 celebrations, was concluded by Dr. Dabke delivering the vote of thanks. The event went on from 18:00 to 19:00 hours. IASH thanks the Consulate General of India, Hamburg for their ever present support.
